Corelle is a brand that was introduced in the 1970s and featured many qualities that other brands did not offer. First, most of the products were dishwasher/oven safe, they would not break or chip with normal use and they were very light and durable. This helped the product line become very popular.
It also offered two very important guarantees to the customers. First, it was offering to replace any dinnerware that broke or chipped from normal use in the first two years, without even requiring a proof of purchase. The second warranty was to commit itself to pattern continuity, so the consumer really find what they want in future products. The official website says that today, almost 50% of homes in America have a least one Corelle product. A lot of great products are available on the official website, make sure to take a look.
